Laya village trekking is a mixture of snow capped Himalayas, alpine grassland, quaint farmland and numerous passes including the highest pass of Bhutan—the Renchen Zoe—at an altitude of 5400meter. The trek comprises approximately eleven passes from Punakha to Bumthang. The trek is a blend of Laya (Punakha valley), Lunana (a very remote part), Renchen Zoe pass, and several other exciting parts of Bhutan.
As some passes are even over 5000meter, a trekker needs to be physically fit and it requires sound health. Before we begin the trek, heavy initial preparation is a must. The close views of Himalayas exert bone-chilling experience. The other remarkable views are the wide green pastures, meadows with different varieties of blossoms from spring to autumn including summer season. The rocky passes and Himalayas are the scenic beauties of the country to watch.
