 Everest base camp (5380m) trekking is without doubt the most renowned trekking destination in the world. Everest Base Camp is popular trekking as it reveals most breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas. Everest base camp trekking provides endless views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Pumori and Kalapatthar. Generally Everest base camp trekking concludes within 15-17 days.

The descend to Imja Khola takes us to the villages of Pangboche and Pheriche and then finally takes us to the Khumbu Glacier. Lobuche, a vantage point for some spectacular views of the Ama Dablam and other peaks, comes after we follow the Khumbu glacier. Then the ascend to Kala pattar[5554m] from where the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas can seen makes you realize that every step that you took was absolutely worth it. Not only that, we can also see the picturesque southwest face of the colossal Mt. Everest. After reaching the Everest base camp at the end of the Khumbu icefall, we make our way back to Lukla.

The specific time to carry out Everest base camp trekking is beginning of March to end of May and beginning of September to end of December.




Outline itinerary:
Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02:  Trek preparation in Kathmandu Valley sightseeing tour
Day 03:  Fly to Lukla 40 min. and trek to Phakding 2610 m 3-4 hours
Day 04:  Trek Phakding to Namche Bazzar 3440 m 5-6 hours walk
Day 05:  Acclimatization Namche to Khumjung hiking and return back to Namche Bazzar
Day 06:  Trek Namche Bazzar to Tengboche 3860 m 5-6 hours walk
Day 07:  Trek Tengboche to Dingboche 4410 m 5-6 hours walk
Day 08:  Acclimatization day in Dingboche 4410 m 5-6 hours
Day 09:  Trek Dingboche to Lobuche 4910 m 5-6 hours
Day 10:  Trek to Everest base camp 5400 m then return to Gorepshep and stay overnight
Day 11:  Hiking to Kalapattar 5545m and trek down to Pheriche 4210 m
Day 12:  Trek Pheriche to Tengboche 3860 m 5-6 hours
Day 13:  Trek Tengboche to Namche 3440 m 5-6 hours
Day 14:  Trek Namche to Lukla 6-7 hours
Day 15:  Fly back to Kathmandu
Day 16:  Leisure day in Kathmandu
Day 17:  Farewell and final departure to your onward destination
